Let me roughly bring you through this diet.. As I’m only 10 days old.. and I lost… 2kg. Healthily!
Phase 1 : Attack phase (3 days)
During attack phase I could only take in pure protein. No sugar, no oil (sounds unattainable) but it can be done, no vegetable ( you must be thinking that you will be constipated for the three days!), no potato, no carbs, no baked beans.. no fatty meat, or meat oil. Only all kinds of fish oils are allowed.
These 3 days are quite torturing.. especially day 2.. you can eat a lot of protein…. but just no carbs, when you are hungry? munch some chicken breast, NO FRIED FOOD okay! After these three days, you realize you will lose water. For me, I lost about only 800g, Depends on your weight, some lost 1kg-2kg. Since you are on pure protein, it is compulsary to buy OAT BRAN, not rolled oats, normal oats.. its MUST be OAT BRAN. 1.5 tablespoon everyday. It is an important role for the oat bran as it lowers blood pressure, regulates your bowel… add an egg or two and NON fat/LOW fat milk. Oh yes, you are allowed to take Non fat yoghurt. NO FRUITS ALLOWED for now, as they contain high level of sugar even though its natural sugar!
Cruise Phase (1-2months~depends)
During cruise phase, it really depends on how fast you reach your desired weight. Lets say you ended your attack phase with protein, Day 4, you can start Protein+veg (no starchy veg, continue no baked beans, no potato) Day 5, back to pure protein , Day 6 Protein+VEg, alternates so on and so forth. During this period, you want to speed up your weight loss so that you can end your torturing food intake (personally, i dont find it torturous as i enjoys fish!). Pair these phases with exercise to speed up weight loss! Whenever you have craving, buy a non fat yoghurt! yoghurt stores are not encourage although some are non fat, they tend to be very sweet! *psssttttt…. sometimes i have severe craving, i pinch a bit of carbs! and felt disgusted with myself! Think about the hard time u been through, especially attack phase, and yes, you will stay away from carbs!*
During Cruise phase, 2 tablespoon of oat bran daily is required.
Caffeinated drinks like coffee and tea are allowed with non fat milk. but no sugar pls!
I can’t blog more about the last phase as I have not been through it! But I will be more than happy to share what Im going through! Last phase is called the Consolidation phase, where u slowly bring back carbs.. but limited! Girls, ENDURE! soon you can have one or two celebration meals! It is worth it, and it feels great to lose weight in a healthy way!
